HomeAid Atlanta’s mission is to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement, and education.

Building New Lives: Construction Updates

The HomeAid Atlanta team is working hard on all of our projects that experienced delays in 2023.

Breakthru House: Two new homes to add 31 beds for women and mothers overcoming addiction with Builder Captain Taylor Morrison. Permitting phase.

Veterans Empowerment Organization (VEO): Renovation led by Builder Captain Lennar to provide nine affordable housing units for veterans. Finalizing architectural plans.

North Georgia Angel House: New family visitation center for foster youth led by Bulder Captain Taylor Morrison. Working with municipality on variances.

Gigi's House: New supportive service building with space for 20 girls escaping sex trafficking to go to school and more, led by Builder Captain Meritage Homes. Grading is complete (see photo above) and concrete footings are set to be poured this week.

In addition to our projects, we’ll complete 10+ Care Days, assemble 5,000 CareKits and hold our 23rd Annual Essentials Drive.

Davidson Homes Packs 500 CareKits

On February 9, Davidson Homes employees packed 500 HomeAid CareKits for DeKalb Library Foundation, kicking off HomeAid Atlanta's 2024 community engagement programs.

“After learning about the need for essential hygienic items for those experiencing homelessness, we were motivated to assemble HomeAid CareKits. We were able to complete the assembly of 500 kits with ease while bonding as a team!” said Becca Barnes, Davidson Homes Director of Sales.

Pledge Support for 23rd Essentials Drive

HomeAid Atlanta's 23rd Annual Essentials Drive is coming April 1 - 30, 2024.

Since 2002, this annual drive to collect diapers and baby wipes for moms and babies at risk of or experiencing homelessness has delivered 2.1 million essential items.

NOW is the time for your company or organization to pledge support for this year's drive! There are two ways to help:

1. Sign up to host a public Essentials Drive donation drop-off site to collect diapers and baby wipes.

2. Sign up to collect donations internally with friends and coworkers at your office, church, school, or civic organization.
