Promenade Avenue

I-15 / Hidden Valley

Use Hidden Valley from the I-15 / Hidden Valley interchange to connect to Promenade Avenue at the McKinley Street / Promenade Avenue intersection just north of State Route 91.

I-15 / Magnolia

Use Magnolia Ave from the I-15 / Magnolia interchange to connect to Promenade Avenue at the Magnolia Avenue / Promenade Avenue intersection.

Magnolia Avenue

Magnolia Avenue has a direct connection with Promenade Avenue approximately 1.2 miles west of the McKinley Street / Magnolia Avenue intersection.

Sampson Avenue

Use Sampson Avenue to connect to Promenade through Mariah Circle and Melissa Court.

No Trucks on McKinley Street Advisory

Due to existing bridge falsework, a vertical clearance constraint of 14 feet over McKinley Street is in place. Large delivery vehicles, semi-trucks and trailers must avoid McKinley Street between SR-91 and Magnolia Avenue.

Large delivery vehicles, semi-trucks and trailers are advised to use alternate detour routes to access businesses in the project area. Additional detour information and live lane closures are available via our interactive map at McKinleyUpdates.com

Businesses Remain Open

As construction continues, access points to businesses along McKinley Street have been temporarily altered. However, local businesses remain open.

Your continued patronage of local businesses is appreciated.

Project Overview

The McKinley Street Grade Separation Project is set to change the way you travel through McKinley Street.

City of Corona residents and commuters experience significant traffic congestion daily on McKinley Street. To improve this, a suspension bridge will be built elevating McKinley Street over the BNSF railroad tracks and Arlington Channel. Construction will extend from State Route 91 on the north side to Magnolia Avenue on the south side.

Once complete, the project will relieve traffic congestion, improve mobility and safety for both motorists and pedestrians, as well as improve emergency response times, air quality and noise. Expected project completion is mid 2024.

Neighboring Projects

71/91 Interchange Project: The Riverside County Transportation Commission’s 71/91 Interchange Project will require nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 between State Route 71 and Green River Road beginning Monday, December 11, 2023 through Wednesday, January 17, 2024.
