Construction Quarterly Newsletter
Fall 2023
| |
|
Welcome to the fall issue of Construction Quarterly!
As we welcome back new and returning campus community members, we celebrate the turning of the season and progress towards realizing the strategic campus plan. Each of the current construction projects are focused on achieving specific goals — expanding the student body, cultivating community and renewing central campus — while remaining committed to our priorities of sustainability, wellness and accessibility. The visual below breaks down the key elements, guiding principles and objectives for each project.
In this issue you will get an update on current project progress, a preview of what to expect this fall, a celebration of completed work, ways to stay informed about changes, and how to get around campus. We also have a sneak peek of a new sustainability exhibition planned for Frist Dining and Poe Field.

SUSTAINABILITY EXHIBITION
As the fall semester begins, you will see new exhibitions in Frist Campus Center, Level A and on the perimeter of the Poe Field Stormwater Management and Geo-Exchange project.
The large-scale exhibit highlights how Princeton is utilizing sustainable construction technologies and methods including healthy habitats, mass timber, layered land use, stormwater management, water reuse, high-performance envelopes and passive design to create integrated environments for teaching, living, learning and research.
Implementing these technologies in combination with Campus as Lab and campus engagement and partnership help us venture forward to a carbon neutral campus by 2046.
