NIGHTIME AVERY PARKWAY CLOSURE

Avery Parkway at I-5 will be closed nightly, beginning April 17 for up to three nights, so crews can safely and efficiently deliver precast concrete girders. Nighttime southbound I-5 Avery Pkwy. off-and on-ramps will also be closed as part of this activity, along with mainline lane reductions.

The girders are a structural component of the I-5 improvements at Avery Pkwy. and are roughly 82' long and weigh almost 68,000 lbs. Because of the size and weight, a specialized crane will be used to place the girders.

WHEN:

• Nightly, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Monday, April 17, for up to three nights.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

• Nighttime full closure of Avery Pkwy. under I-5 with no through access

• Nightly southbound I-5 Avery Pkwy. off-and on-ramp closures

• Nightly lane reductions on southbound I-5 at Avery Pkwy.

The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.
