VIEW CLOSURE MAP

FULL ROAD AND RAMP CLOSURES -

EL TORO ROAD

Crews will be conducting drainage and paving work at I-5 and El Toro Road requiring

eastbound nightly lane reductions from Rockfield Boulevard to Avenida De La Carlota, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, April 3 to Friday, April 7. In addition, northbound and southbound I-5 ramps will also be closed nightly. Detours will be in place.


WHEN:

  • Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, April 3 to Friday, April 7


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Nightly lane reductions on El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. to Ave. De La Carlota
  • Nightly ramp closures from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m., northbound off-ramp and loop on-ramp, and the southbound loop and direct on-ramp
  • Signage will be in place to assist motorists with detours

UPCOMING ONLINE COMMUNITY MEETING

Join the I-5 South County Improvements team for an online community meeting Wednesday, April 12 at 5:30 p.m. as we share project progress from our hard-working crews and upcoming closure information. The meeting will take place on Zoom and will be recorded for later viewing.

Driving is a complex task, be sure to keep your eyes on the road and both hands on the wheel.


Our partners at CHP - Capistrano remind us all to slow down and be distraction free, especially in a construction zone.

BIKEWAY CLOSURE

The Aliso Creek Bikeway will close temporarily on weekdays from 5:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. this week as crews perform maintenance under the bridge and adjacent to southbound I-5. Please watch for bikeway detour signage.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
