SAFE DRIVING AND WALKING TIPS

Welcome Back to School Saddleback Valley and Capistrano Valley Students! 


As students head out for the first week of school, please review the pedestrian access through the construction areas for Los Alisos Boulevard and La Paz Road. Our partners at California Highway Patrol remind all motorists to slow down in the construction zone. In addition, OCTA advises community members to follow detour signage for pedestrian and cyclists access.

PILE DRIVING AT

CROWN VALLEY PARKWAY BEGINS

Crews begin pile driving along northbound I-5 at Crown Valley Pkwy. this week and work will continue intermittently through early 2023. Pile driving is necessary for the foundation of the retaining wall as part of the OC I-5 South County Improvements Project.

MEET AND GREET WITH OCTA AND OCSD

The project team will be onsite to answer questions at the upcoming Meet and Greet event with our partners at Orange County Sheriff Department in the City of Mission Viejo. Join us Wednesday, August 17 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at North Paseo in the Village Center across from Mission Viejo City Hall on Marguerite Parkway.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
