REMINDER: NIGHTTIME FULL CLOSURES

ON LA PAZ ROAD AT I-5

Crews will continue bridge work on La Paz Rd. requiring a full closure from Muirlands Boulevard to Cabot Road.


WHEN:

Thursday, Dec. 22, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.




WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Westbound and eastbound lane closures
  • Southbound I-5 loop on-ramp and northbound I-5 loop on-ramp closures
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

UPCOMING EL TORO ROAD CLOSURES

FOR GIRDER PLACEMENTS

Crews will be placing bridge girders requiring nightly lane closures at El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota. Please follow detour signage.


WHEN:

  • Nightly, Tuesday, Dec. 27 and Wednesday, Dec. 28, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Thursday, Dec. 29 may require another closure if needed.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Westbound and eastbound lane reductions between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

ELECTRICAL WORK UNDERWAY AT

LOS ALISOS BOULEVARD BRIDGE

Southern California Edison (SCE) crews will continue the electrical work on Los Alisos Blvd through Dec. 29. .


WHEN:

  • Nightly, Monday, Dec. 19 through Thursday, Dec. 22, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Daytime lane reductions will occur Dec. 26 through Dec. 29


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Westbound and eastbound lane closures and/or reductions
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists
  • SCE crews performing work

For the safety of the traveling public and construction crews, the speed limit throughout the I-5 South County construction zone remains reduced to 55 mph.

 

The speed limit will be strictly enforced and traffic fines may be doubled within the construction zone.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
