NIGHTTIME FULL CLOSURE OF SOUTHBOUND

I-5 LA PAZ ROAD OFF-RAMP

A full closure of southbound I-5 La Paz Road off-ramp will occur from 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb 22. The nightly closure is necessary for crews to move k-rail and restripe lanes for a traffic shift on the southbound off-ramp. The new configuration will be reduced to two lanes and will open to traffic on Wednesday morning.


WHEN:

  • 10 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21 to 5 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Nightly full closure of southbound I-5 La Paz Rd. off-ramp
  • Traffic shift at southbound La Paz Rd. off-ramp
  • Southbound off-ramp reduced to two lanes
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists


The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

LANE AND RAMP CLOSURES

EL TORO ROAD AT I-5

Crews will be doing electrical and bridge work in preparation for the upcoming bridge deck pour at El Toro Rd. and the I-5. The work requires nightly lane closures. I-5 El Toro Rd. ramps will also be closed.


WHEN:

  • Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 21 to Friday, Feb. 24


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Lane closures on El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota (Feb. 23-24)
  • Nightly ramp closures at El Toro Rd. (Feb. 21-24)*see map below
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

There are no scheduled closures, tonight, Monday, Feb. 20 due to the Presidents' Day holiday. Please drive safely.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
