NIGHTTIME FULL CLOSURE OF

EL TORO ROAD AT I-5

Crews will be installing new overhead traffic signals on El Toro Rd. at the northbound I-5 on-and off-ramps for two nights, Monday, Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb. 7. The work requires a full closure of El Toro Rd. at I-5 and ramp closures.


WHEN:

  • Nightly, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Feb. 6 and Tuesday, Feb. 7


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Full closure of El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota
  • Northbound I-5 on-and off-ramps at El Toro Road closed nightly
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists


The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

A weekend full closure of northbound I-5 loop on-ramp at La Paz Rd. will occur from 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 10 to 1 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12 for crews to perform paving work.


WHAT TO EXPECT:


  • Weekend full closure of northbound I-5 loop on-ramp at La Paz Rd.
  • Lane reduction on eastbound La Paz Rd.; plan for additional travel time
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists


The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

A full closure of La Paz Rd. between Muirlands Blvd. and Cabot Rd. is scheduled nightly, Monday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 17, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. The nightly closures are necessary to remove the falsework placed for the bridge construction over La Paz Rd.

  • Nightly full closure of La Paz Rd. at I-5, Monday, Feb. 13 through Friday, Feb. 17, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
