PAVING RAMPS, ROADWAY AT OSO PARKWAY


Crews will be conducting paving operations requiring nightly ramp closures at northbound and southbound I-5 Oso Parkway on-ramps, as well as mainline lane reductions between Oso Pkwy. and Alicia Pkwy.





WHEN:

  • Nightly, Monday, Jan. 23 through Friday, Jan. 27, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Nightly ramp closures at northbound and southbound I-5 Oso Pkwy. on-ramps
  • Nightly lane reductions on I-5 northbound between Oso Pkwy. and Alicia Pkwy., Wednesday, Jan. 25 through Friday, Jan. 27, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Nightly lane reductions on I-5 southbound between Alicia Pkwy. and Oso Pkwy., Monday, Jan. 23 and Tuesday, Jan. 24, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

NIGHTIME LANE REDUCTIONS AT EL TORO ROAD; CREWS EXTENDING BRIDGE

Nightly lane reductions on El Toro Rd. will continue as crews continue bridge work at El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota. Please follow detour signage.

  • Westbound and eastbound lane reductions on El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

AVERY PARKWAY BRIDGE WORK ONGOING LANE REDUCTIONS NEEDED

Crews will continue bridge work requiring nightly lane reductions this week at Avery Pkwy. between Camino Capistrano and Marguerite Pkwy. The activity is in preparation for the girders to be set in Spring as the team works towards completing stage 3 of the project.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.

OCTA and Caltrans are working together to improve freeway capacity and operations on a 6.5-mile stretch of I-5 from SR-73 to El Toro Road in south Orange County. This voter-approved $580-million project will:
