NIGHTLY RAMP CLOSURES

OSO PARKWAY AND LA PAZ ROAD

Crews will be conducting paving operations requiring nightly ramp closures at northbound I-5 La Paz Road off-ramp and southbound I-5 Oso Parkway on-ramp. Please follow detour signage.


WHEN:

  • Nightly, Monday, Jan. 9 through Friday, Jan. 13, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.



WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Nightly ramp closures at northbound I-5 La Paz Rd. off-ramp
  • Nightly ramp closures at southbound I-5 Oso Pkwy. on-ramp
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists


The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

LANE REDUCTIONS FOR BRIDGE WORK

EL TORO ROAD

Weather permitting, crews will continue electrical and bridge work requiring nightly lane reductions this week at El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota. Please follow detour signage.


WHEN:

  • Nightly, Monday, Jan. 9, through Friday, Jan. 13, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Westbound and eastbound lane reductions on El Toro Rd. between Rockfield Blvd. and Ave. De La Carlota
  • Nightly closures at northbound I-5 and El Toro Rd. loop on-ramp and off-ramp
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.

OCTA and Caltrans are working together to improve freeway capacity and operations on a 6.5-mile stretch of I-5 from SR-73 to El Toro Road in south Orange County. This voter-approved $580-million project will:
