UPCOMING WEEKEND FULL CLOSURE

SOUTHBOUND I-5 ALICIA PARKWAY

ON-AND OFF-RAMPS

Crews will be closing the southbound I-5 Alicia Pkwy. loop and straight on-ramps for paving and restriping work July 14 – 17. In addition, southbound Alicia Pkwy. off-ramp will be closed nightly. Signs will be in place to assist motorists with detours.


WHEN:

  • 11 p.m. Friday, July 14 to 5 a.m. Monday, July 17



WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Southbound I-5 at Alicia Pkwy. loop and straight on-ramps closed. Ramps will reopen 5 a.m. Monday, July 17
  • Southbound I-5 lane reductions from El Toro Rd. to Alicia Pkwy.
  • Southbound I-5 Alicia Pkwy. off-ramp closed nightly
  • Signage will be in place to assist motorists with detours
  • Motorists should use La Paz Rd. or El Toro Rd. as detours
  • Plan for additional travel time

Closure of northbound I-5 Oso Parkway On-Ramps


The northbound I-5 Oso Pkwy. straight and loop on-ramps will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday, July 13, Friday, July 14 and Saturday, July 15, to allow crews to safely restripe lanes and shift traffic on northbound I-5. Please follow detour signage.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
