SOUTHBOUND I-5 LANE SHIFT

OSO PARKWAY TO AVERY PARKWAY

Crews are set to shift traffic lanes on southbound I-5 from south of Oso Parkway to Avery Parkway, July 20-22, requiring nightly lane closures.


This traffic shift will create a safe work zone for crews to continue mainline work near Crown Valley Parkway and Avery. Southbound Avery off-ramp will also be closed nightly, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., Wednesday, July 20 and Friday July 22. 



WHEN:

  • July 20-22, 2022, 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.


WHAT TO EXPECT:


  • Moving k-rail and restriping roadway
  • Lane reductions on southbound I-5 between Oso and Avery
  • Southbound Avery off-ramp closures
  • Plan for additional travel time through the area

UPCOMING GIRDER PLACEMENT

LOS ALISOS BRIDGE

Crews are preparing for upcoming delivery and placement of pre-cast girders for the Los Alisos bridge, Aug. 2-3. This activity will require a directional freeway closures nightly between El Toro Road and Alicia Parkway. The precast girders will be placed as the primary support deck being constructed for the expansion of the Los Alisos bridge.

  • Tuesday, Aug. 2 and Wednesday, Aug. 3, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.


WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Northbound I-5 freeway closure, Aug. 3
  • Electronic message boards
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists



UPCOMING RAMP CLOSURES

CROWN VALLEY, OSO AND LA PAZ

Ramp closures will occur this week at Crown Valley Parkway, Oso Parkway and and La Paz Road, Monday, July 18, through Friday, July 22, for k-rail placement, restriping operations and miscellaneous work. Please watch for detour signage and view our closure chart below.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
