PROJECT MILESTONE

LOS ALISOS BRIDGE DEMOLITION COMPLETE

The new and improved Los Alisos bridge is now about 50% complete. Last week, construction crews successfully demolished the western span of the Los Alisos Blvd. bridge. The bridge reconstruction team has already begun the process of extending and enhancing the bridge’s new western span. During this process, which is expected to take one year to complete, motorists will continue to be able to travel westbound and eastbound on Los Alisos Blvd. Reconstruction of the Los Alisos bridge is necessary to accommodate new northbound and southbound lanes on the I-5 freeway. When completed, the new Los Alisos bridge will also feature enhanced lanes and center median, widened bicycle lanes as well as sidewalks.
