LA PAZ ROAD AND RAMP CLOSURES

Crews will be installing falsework for the La Paz bridge improvement. This work requires closing La Paz Rd. between Cabot Rd. and Muirlands Blvd. nightly, Monday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 22, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. In addition, the northbound loop on-ramp and southbound loop on-ramp are also closed. 


Falsework is the temporary wooded structure used to support the bridge during construction until it can fully support itself. 



WHEN:

  • Nightly closures, 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., Monday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 22



WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Road closures between Cabot Rd. and Muirlands Blvd.
  • Northbound and southbound loop on-ramp closures
  • Please follow detour signage


The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operations issues.

EL TORO ROAD - NIGHTLY RAMP CLOSURES

Nightly ramp closures will occur at I-5 and El Toro Road Monday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 22, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. Please watch for detour signage and reduce your speed in the construction area.



WHEN: 

  • Monday, Nov. 21 and Tuesday, Nov. 22, nightly closures 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.


WHAT TO EXPECT: 

  • Northbound direct and loop on-ramp closures
  • Southbound off-ramp closures
  • Electronic message boards
  • Detour signage will be in place to assist motorists

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
