Nighttime closures of all La Paz Rd. and Oso Pkwy. northbound and southbound ramps are scheduled intermittently from 10 p.m to 5 a.m. weeknights this week for grinding work. Ramps will not be closed consecutively at the same time.

Intermittent lane closures on northbound and southbound I-5 are scheduled between Oso Pkwy. and Alicia Pkwy., 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., nightly. At least two lanes will remain open at all times.

WORK ON LA PAZ RD/ I-5 INTERCHANGE
ABOUT THE PROJECT
OCTA and Caltrans are working together to improve freeway capacity and operations on a 6.5-mile stretch of I-5 from SR-73 to El Toro Road in south Orange County. This voter-approved $580-million project will add a general purpose lane in each direction of the I-5 between Avery Parkway to Alicia Parkway, extend the second carpool lane from Alicia Parkway to El Toro Road in both directions, reconstruct two interchanges and one bridge, and modify on- and off-ramps. To further improve operations, carpool lanes in the project area will convert to continuous access. The project is expected to be completed in 2025.
