I-5 Northbound Lanes Reduced Between

Alicia Parkway and El Toro Road

WHAT:

Starting Friday, Sept. 29, the I-5 northbound freeway lanes will be reduced between Alicia Parkway and El Toro Road.

Expect heavy traffic congestion on NB I-5.

Plan for additional travel through the area.

UPCOMING RAMP CLOSURES

Extended Closures of the I-5 Northbound On-ramps from El Toro Road

WHAT:

Starting Friday, Sept. 29, crews will reconstruct the I-5 northbound on-ramps from El Toro Road, requiring a nine-day closure of the loop on-ramp and a weekend closure of the straight on-ramp.

Expect heavy traffic congestion on El Toro Road.

Plan for additional travel time through the area.

I-5 NB El Toro Road Loop On-ramp Closed

11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 - 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 9

I-5 NB El Toro Road Straight On-ramp Closed

11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 - 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2

Safe and direct detours will be in place.

DETOURS FOR RAMP CLOSURES

Up to 55 Hour Closure of I-5 Southbound

Loop On-ramp from Alicia Parkway

WHAT:

Starting Friday, Sept. 29, crews will reconstruct the I-5 southbound loop

on-ramp from Alicia Parkway, requiring a ramp closure of up to 55 hours.

Plan for additional travel time through the area.

WHEN:

11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29 - 5 a.m., Monday, Oct. 2

Safe and direct detours will be in place.

Nightly lane closures/reductions from:

El Toro Road to Alicia Parkway starting as early as 8 p.m.
Alicia Parkway to Oso Parkway starting as early as 10 p.m.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
