LA PAZ ROAD CLOSURE AND

LANE REDUCTIONS

La Paz Road is closed tonight, Monday, Sept. 26 from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. in order to mobilize equipment for bridge work between Cabot Road and Muirlands Boulevard. Detours will be posted.


WHEN:

  • Monday, Sept. 26, 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. (full closure)
  • Tuesday, Sept. 27 to Friday, Sept. 30, nightly, 11 p.m. to 5 a.m. (lane reductions)



WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • Roadway closures (Monday)
  • Lane reductions (Tuesday - Friday)
  • Electronic message boards
  • Detour signage


The schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues. Signs will be in place to assist motorists with detours.



LOS ALISOS BRIDGE PROGRESS 

Progress continues! Crews recently completed the concrete deck pour of eastbound Los Alisos Boulevard bridge as part of the OC I-5 Improvements Project.


Once all construction is complete on the eastbound side, the team will begin work on westbound Los Alisos in early 2023. 

NATIONAL NIGHT OUT WITH OCSD 

The OC I-5 South County Improvements project team joined the Orange County Sheriff's Department - Laguna Hills unit at the National Night Out last week. Members of the community were able to ask questions about the I-5 freeway construction and upcoming activities.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
