55-Hour Closure of Alicia Parkway NB off-ramp

  • Crews will close the Alicia Parkway northbound off-ramp from 11 p.m. Friday, Sept. 8, to 5 a.m. Monday, Sept. 11, for paving and striping.


  • All other Alicia ramps will have nighttime closures throughout the week beginning as early as 10 p.m.


Signs will be in place to assist motorists. Plan for additional travel time overnight this week. As always, the schedule is subject to change due to inclement weather or unforeseen operational issues.

September to see significant activity

A weekend full closure of the SB on and off-ramps at Avery Parkway is expected in mid-September. In addition, crews are expected to close the freeway in both directions overnight Sept. 15 between Alicia Parkway and El Toro Road to set girders for the second half of the the Los Alisos Boulevard Bridge over the freeway.


Later in September, an extended ramp closure at La Paz Road is scheduled.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The project, which spans the cities of Mission Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel, is expected to be completed in 2025.
