TRAFFIC IMPACT AND DURATION: Friday, April 30 through Friday, May 7, between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM, motorists should expect intermittent single-lane and shoulder closures, and alternating one-way traffic along Sykes Mountain Avenue and US Route 5 controlled by flaggers. Crews will maintain business access along the affected roads. Expect delays.
On Tuesday, May 4, motorists should expect traffic pattern changes at the intersection of US Route 5 and Sykes Mountain Avenue and the intersection of Sykes Mountain Avenue and Ralph Lehman Drive, as traffic is transitioned to using the new roundabouts. Significant delays should be expected.
Please note: New signage will be installed, and the area will have limited line-striping and symbols, along with traffic cones and on-site police presence to help motorists navigate the roadway. Motorists and pedestrians must stay vigilant, follow posted traffic patterns, and adhere to the work zone signage.
