GCEP Project Update

Greetings!

Thank you for opting in to receive regular email updates on the Greater Cambridge Energy Program (GCEP). Please see below for the latest updates on construction activities in your area.

New Vault Installation on Memorial Drive

Beginning Monday, July 13, and continuing for approximately one week, crews will work within a 24/7 permanent work zone at approximately 750 Memorial Drive, between Magazine Street and Pleasant Street Extension, to install an underground transmission vault (manhole).

The permamnent work zone will remain in place throughout the activity and active construction will generally occur Monday–Friday, 7 a.m.–5 p.m. To reduce daytime traffic impacts, crews will complete one overnight crane operation to set the vault, scheduled between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Throughout this activity, one lane of travel will remain open in each direction. Drivers may experience brief, intermittent traffic stoppages while equipment is maneuvered.
