We are thrilled to bring you the latest updates on the construction activities happening within our community.

Keeping the community informed about the status of a new school construction project brings numerous benefits. It fosters transparency and trust between the school district and community members, ensuring that everyone is on the same page regarding the project's goals and progress. This transparency allows for open communication, enhances collaboration, reduces misunderstandings, and strengthens the sense of unity within the community.

As we continue through the winter weather, progress on the buildings interior has continued swiftly.

• Masonry Veneer and Interior CMU

Our construction team is diligently working on enhancing the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the school with the installation of masonry veneer. Additionally, the interior CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit) work is in progress to create durable and flexible spaces for our students.

• HVAC Rough

Efforts are being directed towards the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) rough installation. This crucial step ensures optimal climate control, providing a comfortable and conducive environment for effective learning.

• Fire Protection Rough

Ensuring the safety of our students and staff is of paramount importance. The rough installation of fire protection systems is underway to fortify the school against potential risks.

• Plumbing Rough

The plumbing rough work is in progress, a fundamental aspect of our renovation to ensure efficient water distribution and drainage systems throughout the school.

• Drywall, Mud, and Tape

The transformation of spaces within Westfield Elementary School is becoming evident as drywall is being meticulously installed, followed by the meticulous processes of mud and tape application to create seamless surfaces.

• Painting North Wing

The north wing is getting a fresh look as our skilled painters bring color and vibrancy to the renovated spaces. This step is crucial in creating a positive and inviting atmosphere for our students.

• ACT Ceiling Grid North Wing

The installation of the ACT (Acoustical Ceiling Tile) ceiling grid in the north wing is in progress. This enhances the acoustics within the classrooms, contributing to a better learning environment.

• Bathroom Ceramic Tiles - Bathrooms North Wing 2nd Floor

The second-floor bathrooms in the north wing are undergoing a facelift with the installation of beautiful ceramic tiles. This not only enhances aesthetics but also ensures durability and ease of maintenance.

As we witness these key developments, it is truly heartening to see the Westfield Elementary School project taking shape. We remain committed to delivering a school facility that reflects our dedication to excellence in education and a nurturing environment for our students.
