As we welcome the arrival of September, our progress with the construction of the new elementary school remains strong. The project is staying firmly on track. For those of you in the vicinity of the site this month, here's a glimpse of the key developments that are ongoing:
Building Underground: Our construction team has been diligently working on building the foundation, including the critical underground components. This foundational work is essential for the stability and longevity of the entire structure.
Slab on Grade (SOG) Pour: On Monday, September 18th, we are scheduled to pour the Slab on Grade (SOG) for the center and kitchen areas. This marks a significant step towards the completion of these essential spaces within the building.
Roofing Progress: The roofing phase is well underway and progressing smoothly. We anticipate that the roofing work will be completed in approximately two weeks. This milestone will enhance the building's weather protection and overall structure.
Duct Work Installation: Our team is currently focused on installing ductwork in the North lower level of the building. This work is vital for the efficient circulation of air within the facility and ensures the comfort of occupants.
Roof Drain, Venting, and Water Piping: We are actively installing roof drains, venting systems, and water piping in the North section of the building. These components are crucial for maintaining the building's functionality and structural integrity.
CMU for Stairs C & D: Construction of CMU (Concrete Masonry Unit) for Stairs C and D is progressing according to schedule. These staircases are essential for safe and convenient vertical movement within the building.
Exterior Metal Stud Framing: We have initiated exterior metal stud framing in the North section of the building. This framing work not only reinforces the structure but also provides support for future exterior finishes.
