As part of the Maryland Transportation Authority’s (MDTA) $1.1 billion program to relieve congestion and improve travel along the 1-95 corridor in Harford County, the MDTA is constructing a new Park and Ride lot at the intersection of MD24 and MD924 in the Abingdon, next to the Wawa . The Park and Ride lot will consist of 265 spaces and will enhance bus and transit connection. Access to the Park and Ride will be provided along MD 924. Construction is anticipated to begin June 15 and take approximately 1 year to complete. It is expected to be operation in summer of 2021.
