Work on 14th Avenue began early March. The project includes pavement improvements, utilities and sidewalk ramps, and is anticipated for completion this fall.
Right now, crews are working on the underground utilities (sewer, stormwater, and water main) between 38th Street and 39th Street. This activity will continue for the next few weeks. Crews will also begin to move into pavement improvements in the next few weeks, which include overlay and reconstruction.
During the next few weeks, driveways and sidewalks may be temporarily blocked or closed between 38th Street and 39th Street as crews work on the paving. Whenever possible, they will work to minimize the amount of time driveways need to be blocked.
Please continue to put your garbage and recycling containers in their normal location; it is the contractor's responsibility to coordinate the pick-up location with the Solid Waste trucks, and to return the collection bins to your property.
Updates will be ongoing as the project continues. Thank you for continued patience and support as we work to improve our streets!
