O Avenue NW

Construction Update: April 17, 2018
Work continues on O Ave at the Ellis Blvd intersection.  Crews have installed storm sewer, water main, and part of the pavement. The intersection is anticipated to reopen within the next two weeks, if the weather cooperates.

Elsewhere on the project, water main installation continues along O Ave between 16th St and 13th St. There may be occasional water service interruptions as crews switch service lines from the old water main to the new water main. Please watch for door tags that help notify property owners of water service outages.

Northwest Gateway & Memorial Plaza
In addition to the Paving for Progress improvements, construction is also underway on a 2008 flood memorial in the Northwest Neighborhood. The memorial will consist of a plaza, benches, and memorial wall situated along O Ave and Ellis Blvd. A privately-funded sculpture is also planned for the site.

Road closures are in effect between Ellis Blvd and 6th Street as part of that project, which is separate from the Paving for Progress project.
