Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Israel for a special two-day visit on Monday at the head of a large Russian delegation of officials and business people. In between state dinners and touring Israel's holiest sites, President Putin talked politics, trade and culture with Prime Minister Netanyahu and President Shimon Peres. The two world leaders spoke much about Iran and Syria.  "We agree that Iran's continued pursuit of nuclear weapons is a grave threat first and foremost to Israel, but also to the region and to the world, " said Prime Minister Netanyahu.

Israel's delegation to the 2012  London Olympic Games was officially announced this week. "We finished a four-year marathon today," said Zvi Varshaviak, President of the Olympic Committee of Israel. "It's perhaps not the biggest delegation we've had, but it's the highest quality Israel has had. We want to win more than two medals,"  added Varshaviak.
