Deadline: Opt Out of Forced Arbitration Credit card companies are moving to require arbitration for the settlement of any disputes, preventing customers from suing and the potential for class actions. Customers must opt-out by writing to their bank by August 7 or the provisions will automatically apply. Print and submit this form to protect your rights!

Consumer Victory in Maryland Court of Appeals

 On February 27, 2019 Maryland's highest court confirmed that the statute of limitations in a residential lease is 3 years, regardless of the fact that many landlords inserted fine print in the lease saying it was 12 years. This ruling will affect thousands of Maryland consumers who no longer have to worry about getting sued 8, 9 and 10 years after they moved out of an apartment.
