A safe and stable home is critical to effective treatment and recovery. Amendment #798 provides for new housing subsidy vouchers for ~80 people with serious mental health conditions who are homeless or stuck in inpatient facilities because of lack of supportive housing.

Nearly one in four older adults has a mental health condition such as a mood disorder not associated with normal aging. Amendment #578 increases access to mental health services for older adults who are isolated at home or living in difficult situations. The amendment supports Elder Mental Health Outreach Teams, which provide integrated, community-based services.
