Contactless Pick-up for Requests & Book Drops Open
Contactless Pickup of requested items at your local library started on Friday, June 15, 2020. To reserve a book you can "Place Request" from the online catalog or call your local library. Find LMLS library phone numbers on our website. If you already requested an item, please wait for a call from your library regarding scheduling a time to pick it up. If you no longer want an item you requested, please cancel your request in your account (if it's not already delivered to your local library.) See this Video - "how to cancel unwanted requests."
If you logged into your library account via the online catalog and saved titles to " My Lists," items will not automatically be pulled for you to pickup. You must log in, click on your list, click on the title, then click the green "Place Request" button for the item to be pulled from the shelf for contactless delivery.
You can return your items to the library's book drop(s). Once the drop is emptied by staff, items are being placed in quarantine. Items won't be check in for 2-6 days and will remain on your library record as borrowed. Don't worry - we will back-date the check-in so fines will NOT be charged for those days. All items with due dates during the quarantine (March 13 & after) were renewed to July 15, so please don't rush to the book drop. With more than 37,000 items checked out, a gradual return is preferred. Have questions about your library during the phased reopening between now and the near future? Read this FAQ.

Show Your Support
A BIG "thank you" to patrons: Lower Merion public libraries will waive the 25 cent reserve fee for items requested for Contactless Pickup from now through the end of 2020. We thank you for your patience and perseverance in these difficult times.

No ITEM donations or drop offs. Please do not leave book donations (or other donated items) in a book drop or outside a library door. Libraries can't accept item donations now or in the near future. We can accept financial donations.
Show Your Support : Lower Merion public libraries have been there with you every step of the way during the past few months. Our librarians and staff have worked tirelessly to develop engaging online programs for all ages. We expanded our online resources, eBooks, movies, and more to meet the needs of our residents. As we look to the future and our phased reopening, we anticipate the need for online programming and materials will continue to grow. Our libraries also face increased costs to ensure the safety of our patrons and staff.

The COVID-19 shut-down postponed or cancelled many of the fundraising appeals and events that our volunteers and board members so selflessly organize on behalf of the libraries. Donations are critical and will help our libraries recover and thrive. Your gifts truly make a difference, especially now. Please visit www.lmls.org/donate to support your favorite Lower Merion library or to make a gift in support of system-wide programs through the LMLS Foundation*.

Did you know? The federal CARES legislation provides incentives for charitable giving. Non-itemizers can deduct $300 ($600 if filing jointly) for charitable donations in 2020. The charitable deduction limit for itemizers also was increased up to 100% of 2020 AGI.
