Creative, imaginative attorneys are already finding ways to use AI to enhance their work drafting trust documents. This presentation is not about those emerging applications. Instead, the presentation is about AI applications that could be developed to support the related field of trust litigation. The age of clients, their deteriorating health, and their limited income may compel attorneys to seek resolution of a dispute through mediation before they have obtained comprehensive information about, and agreement on, facets of the financial condition of the trust that is the underlying subject of the dispute. Deficient accountings, disagreements about asset valuations, and incomplete records of sub trust allocations are some of the information voids that could impede attorneys from making objectively informed assessments during mediations. AI applications, if sought and then developed, could serve to fill these kinds of information lacunae. |
