Dear Friend,

We dove into a new data project this summer to get to know our park users better. We worked with you to complete a survey, observed activity in the parks, and did informal interviews with the people we met. We are taking what we learned to inform our plans for 2021 and beyond.

Despite the pandemic, and with the support of our wonderful partners, we hosted 49 public programs and 22 stewardship events for over 750 people (following CDC guidelines, of course). Our community has helped us plant over 250 trees along Riverfront North just this past month. But the year isn't over yet. We have plenty more events and contests up our sleeve. We hope to see you out along the trails and in the parks this month!

Warmly,

Stephanie Phillips
Executive Director
Upcoming Opportunities
Just because it is getting chilly, doesn't mean we aren't still getting outside! November is full of fun! (All programs will be following CDC guidelines with limited participants).

Winners - Photo Contest
From October 7th to November 7th we hosted our fall 2020 Riverfront North Photo Contest. We received so many amazing photos from local professional and amateur photographers and offered our followers a chance to vote on their favorites in three categories. See who won!
Park Alert: Lardner's Point Park
Another reminder that this November, there are a few changes coming to the greenway. Starting November 1st, a portion of Lardner's Point Park will be under construction as part of I-95 improvements. PennDOT will be improving a sewer outfall that will impact access to the park via Levick Street. The park will be open during construction with some temporary changes to parking. Look for signs redirecting parking, or park at the Devereaux Street lot. If you have questions, email us: info@riverfrontnorth.org.
