December Drafts for a Difference to Benefit ACEnet!

 
Each month, the Athens Sunrise Rotary organizes a community happy hour at the Eclipse Company Store that benefits a worthy cause. The community-minded beer hall has offered to donate $1 for every beer sold at these events! Athens Sunrise Rotary will also match each donation - so that means for each beer purchased - $2 will go to ACEnet!!
Mad Sweet Heat Opens Own Canning Facility

Mark & Debbie Titus and their  MAD Sweet Heat  products are just one more success story that happens in Ohio every day through the hard work of individuals. Their candied jalapeno story started over 15 years ago with a homemade recipe. They made their first retail sale on June 13th 2015 and it has been a growing success ever since. 
 
MSH began canning their candied jalapenos here at ACEnet, so it only seems fitting that we helped them as they opened a canning facility of their own, answering their questions about licensing & facility build-out, along with having Mark & Debbie come to Athens to shadow our Food Ventures Manager.

Food Safety Document Development Workshop


If you are a small-scale food producer there is required documentation you will need to
 complete to be compliant with the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA). This includes documentation of your size exemption as a "qualified facility" and various food safety programs.
