We understand the importance of live seminars to our students. We have
kept 6 seminar dates in May and June for those who prefer live-classroom instruction

only if the public health situation improves
and the recommendation by the Public Health Agency of Canada for physical distancing is lifted.

(Starts April 14)

Back in September, each of our team members presented on a charity of their choice then we all voted for two charities to support in 2020;
CEASE

LitWorld®
, have been receiving monthly donations of $500 each since December 2019.

CEASE provides tools for persons who have experienced sexual exploitation to heal and renew their lives. One of our team members has volunteered with them for years providing financial education and developing financial plans.

LitWorld's mission is to “ensure that young people worldwide can experience the joy and transformation of reading, writing, and storytelling.”

United Way
Red Tie Gala is an annual event that recognizes Awards of Distinction to community-minded individuals & groups who embrace their mission.
This year's event was focused on helping make poverty
#UNIGNORABLE

The event was an opportunity for our community to connect through a celebration of culture with fusion performances and culinary experiences.
BCC purchased a table and we want to thank all of the lovely individuals who joined us at the gala.

Pro Bono Financial Planning Case Study: A Successful Intervention

Below is a case study I wrote for the United Way to demonstrate the value of a program they operate here in Edmonton. This is a true story – only the name of the program participant has been changed.

If this type of work is interesting to you, we have a regional initiative operating in the Edmonton area. The next training for this session is tentatively scheduled for June 22 and 23, though I would not be surprised to see this rescheduled given our required social distancing.
