DCAS summer courses - There's still time to register!
|
The New York Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) is offering courses on leadership, management, cultural awareness and inclusivity, and other topics in July, August, and September. Review the DCAS summer course catalogue for more information. Before registering, staff must receive approval from their supervisor, then complete and submit the Professional Development Registration form.Once centrally approved, a confirmation email will be sent from University.Training@cuny.edu to the employee and their supervisor within 7 business days. Some courses are free, and others range from $75 to $1000+ for certifications.

There are several ways to access LinkedIn Learning courses for free.
|
Via the New York Public Library (NYPL):
|
- You will need an NYPL library card. If you do not have one, you can apply for a library card online.
- Once you have a library card number and pin, access the program (at no cost) by clicking here.
|
- Limited access is available through UHR PDL by completing this request form. Please note PDL has a small number of licenses and access is limited to 3 weeks.
|
|
|
As a CUNY employee you are eligible for a Tuition Waiver. Once you satisfy the service requirements specified by your position (see tuition waiver page for details), you are eligible to waive the cost of tuition at any CUNY school, up to a maximum of $5250.00 tax-free, per year.

CUNY Professional Development & Learning
|
CUNY offers a variety of virtual and in-person courses at CUNY Central offices. Information on specific sessions, including registration procedures, can be found on the CUNY Professional Development & Learning website. The cost of attending a session ranges from $75 to $275 per person. Speak to your supervisor and Human Resources as to whether financial support is available through your department, CUNY SPH administration, the HEO-CLT Professional Development Fund or other means.
