On Saturday, December 18, the RCSD will continue its community call to action with a virtual gathering. Since early November, a group of RCSD stakeholders have been discussing ways to address violence in Rochester, and learning more about social-emotional and mental health for students, families, and staff.
Two initiatives have begun implementation.
-
Parents in Action: An initiative to engage parents in all aspects of their child’s education.
-
Fathers Initiating Restorative Engagement (F.I.R.E.): A pilot program at Edison Career and Technology High School and Franklin Lower and Upper Schools where fathers serve as positive role models during the school day.
