Let the challenge begin!

A quick instruction guide to parking lot etiquette to ensure lines of cars flow efficiently and safety remains top priority; please follow these traffic tips:
  • Buses only in the lane closest to the building.
  • Drop off/pick up from the upper lot -- right lane only.
  • The left lane is only for cars driving through or to park.
  • Drop off/pick up children from the far side of the mailbox only. If your car is behind the mailbox, do not ask student to enter/exit vehicle.
  • Parents are asked to stay in their vehicle.
  • Continuously Pull Forward- do not park or let your child out if the car in front of you is moving.
  • Reserved spaces are for staff.
  • Do not pickup/drop off students in the small side lot.
  • Rockwell is an idle-free zone. Turn off your engines as you wait in pick up lane.

These tips will ensure a safe arrival/departure and an expedited process.
Hello Rockwell Families!
I just wanted to say a quick thank you to the families that participated in this super fun annual event. This year was challenging due to the remote learning environment you all made it so much fun and the videos were amazing!
We had great feedback about how students and families LOVED seeing all the various family members reading and the different languages. So many students really wanted to hear these stories in languages other than English as well as students that LOVED hearing stories in their home language.
There was so much positive feedback that we are planning on hosting more similar “at home read aloud” events in the future. I have had some parents express interest in planning similar read at home activities with other themes like “favorite bedtime story.” Kids and families could even dress up like their favorite story book characters as they read. These could be done in English or other languages if families have stories in their home language that they would like to share.
So many exciting possibilities!
Happy Reading Rockwell!
