ZOOM POLLS FOR ASSESSMENT & ENGAGEMENT
Zoom Polls can be a great way to conduct formative assessment and engage students in synchronous classes held over Zoom.

Once you enable the Zoom Polls feature, you can create and conduct polls during your Zoom meeting to solicit feedback from students or other attendees. After the meeting has concluded, you can access the student responses for use in learning outcomes evaluation, participatory assessment, or grading.
OIT MAINTENANCE ALERTS
NETWORK MAINTENANCE
OIT will be performing network maintenance Friday morning, August 7, between 12:00 am and 6:00 am.

While we don't expect any broad impacts to services during the maintenance window, you may notice brief (<60 second) connectivity interruptions when accessing campus resources.
ZOOM MAINTENANCE
On Friday, August 7 from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm, OIT will be performing basic maintenance to our Zoom accounts.

We anticipate that this back-end maintenance should have no impact on existing UC Merced Zoom accounts.

However, if you experience any issues accessing Zoom during this time, please Report a Problem at it.ucmerced.edu or call 209-228-HELP (4357).
STAY IN THE KNOW
OIT puts a significant amount of effort into planning for changes to campus services so that there is little to no impact for our campus users.

However, no matter how carefully we plan, unexpected things can still happen. In those cases, we always post up-to-the-minute information on the OIT Twitter account. Follow us or view our feed on the OIT website home page to keep up with any updates about campus service interruptions.
