While trust in Contra Costa County elections is high, we’re facing a growing tide of mis- and disinformation that confuses voters and undermines the legitimacy of our elections. Elections are more secure than ever, and we want our voters to know the comprehensive steps we take to protect their vote. 

The Contra Costa County Elections Division – one of only 16 jurisdictions nationwide to be awarded a grant to improve election processes – has launched a far-reaching marketing and community engagement campaign to reassure voters of election integrity and security. The campaign includes county-wide advertising; nearly 100 community election ambassadors; an informational website; opportunities for the public to observe election activities and a Certified Election Observer program.
