If you shared your capability statement with a government agency and they're interested in more information, what are you prepared to give them? You should anticipate that request and be ready to provide documentation that you can do what you say you can do.

This workshop will guide participants through the process of documenting activities to create capability statements and briefings, as well as 1-page handouts and other collateral materials that provide examples of how you are applying the capabilities of your institution or small business to meet a particular government need. 

We'll also help you register with NASA and upload your capability statement into the NASA Vendor Database. The workshop will be held on the campus of Lawson State Community College in Birmingham, Alabama.

Kenneth S. Merwin, Lt. Col., U.S. Army (Retired), is President of Polaris Systems, Inc. He has 29 years of professional experience leading a variety of complex projects and heavyweight teams. His proposal and capture experience spans advanced technology, computer projects, IT services, facility support, security, and logistics with DoD, NASA, the CDC, USAID, and the Corps of Engineers.

Responding to Solicitations and Creating Compliant Proposals & White Papers is the fifth in a series of webinars designed to assist Minority Serving Institutions and small businesses create new revenue streams through contracting opportunities with the federal government. This webinar will instruct participants on how to respond appropriately to solicitations by understanding the government's request, the statement of work, and the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
