Welcome to Salt Lake City!
Opening Ceremony & Keynote Address
The Keynote Address, recognition of scholarship winners and sponsors, and presentation of awards including Honorary Membership, make the Opening Ceremony one of the highlights of the convention.

NSNA is excited to welcome Dr. Sally Karioth as this year’s keynote speaker! She is a Certified Traumatologist (CT) and grief counselor, and for more than 40 years, has been in private practice, helping people cope with the death of loved ones. Her particular concern is parents who have lost a child to death. She is also a well-known popular international public speaker, renowned for her ability to mix laughter with heartwarming insights.

From Sammy Davis Jr. to Ray Charles and Frank Sinatra…

From Porgy and Bess to Dinah Washington and American Bandstand who introduced us to the jitterbug, the twist, and the stroll…the 1950’s was a decade full of great shows, inspiring people, and heralded NSNA's commitment to student nurses across the Nation.

Join us as we kick of NSNA's 70th Anniversary with our opening night party. The evening includes a live DJ, contests, a photo booth, and more. Enter the costume contest as an individual or group with your best 1950’s decade outfits.

And make sure your dancing shoes are ready to jitterbug, twist, and stroll for the 1950’s style dance-off!
Student Activity Tables

School and state constituents can use the Student Activity Area to sell fundraising items at the NSNA Annual Convention.

Be sure to check out the incredible products that chapters have for sale!

There is a $35.00 charge for the shared space of an eight foot table (4 feet for each Chapter) and 2 chairs at Convention. Please use professional discretion when selecting slogans and themes for T-shirts and other fundraising products. See NSNA’s policies related to fundraising at convention: click on “Publications/Guidelines for Planning: Fundraising.” No food or drink items may be sold or given away in the Student Activity Area.
Volunteers Needed!
Sign up to become a Convention volunteer now!
Getting involved as a convention team volunteer is an exciting way to get to know your peers, to network with students from around the U.S., and to contribute to the success of this important event. Volunteers receive a certificate of recognition that is given at the convention or sent to them after the convention.
Your time commitment may be as little as one hour or as many as 6 hours depending on your availability. There are several different Volunteer Convention Teams that offer you opportunities to learn new skills and be recognized for your involvement.

NSNA will have some incentives this year for those that volunteer. There are several drawings available for those that do at least 3 hours of time including an NSNA registration for 2023.
