CRM offers online prayer support. Let your ministry partners
pray for you.
se interact with God about these important prayer issues:
-VBS and Sports Camps around the region are seeing young people making faith commitments to Jesus Christ. Thanks to all who are serving so hard to make these events happen. It's having a transformational impact.
-Denver Christian Bible Church celebrated their 5th Anniversary. Pastor John Moreland has done an excellent job building this young congregation.
-Fourteen pastors are involved in the coaches network training. Not only are they building their own leadership skills, they are also being trained in how to help other pastors and churches.
Pray for Pastor Mike and Laurel Mead.
They will be leaving Center Cross Church in Gering, NE after 15 years of ministry and beginning a new appointment as Lead Pastor for Noelridge Park Church in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Pray also for the people of Center Cross Community Church as they seek God's plan for next steps in their ministry.
- Pray for short term CRM mission teams as they spread the Gospel around the world this summer. Teams are headed to Poland, Haiti, Estonia, Philippines, Uganda and several other countries.
-Pray that decisions made at the Converge REACH Conference will "stick" and result with an ongoing effort to be a Gospel proclaiming movement.

"It's Our Turn!"
REACH Conference Challenges Us to Go!
"First, it was Jesus' turn to spread the Gospel," exclaimed speaker David Nelms. "Then, the early church, it was their turn. But now it's our turn." The Converge National Biennial REACH conference was an exciting three day event, designed to motivate God's people to reach across the street and around the world with the life saving message of the Gospel. Heartland Church in Indianapolis provided powerful worship times and a beautiful meeting venue. Eastern Star Church, hosted the break out sessions and provided warm hospitality.
Highlights included VP of Missions Ivan Veldhuisen, reminding us that the focus of Converge International Missions will be on unreached and unengaged people groups in the world. Unengaged are those that have never even heard the name Jesus or been able to see a Bible. Many of the speakers underscored the need for prayer to lead the way in our evangelism efforts. If we don't have prayer, we have no real spiritual power to propel our outreach efforts.
Breakout sessions focused on evangelism strategies. CRM's Ty DesEnfants led a session on Effective Evangelism in Rural Settings. He did an excellent job and created a spark for our rural pastors and leaders to collaborate more in the future.
The business session was brief but some important decisions were made. Baptist General Conference was dropped as our denomination's legal name and was replaced with Converge. This will have implications on CRM's legal documents and action will need to be taken in March on adopting Converge Rocky Mountain as our legal name instead of just a DBA. President Ridout was elected to a second term which was also officially lengthened from a four to a six year term.
A big highlight for CRM was the honoring of our own Dr. Robin Holland, for outstanding service as the interim Director of Diversity for Converge. Pastor Robin, who serves at Living Hope Bible Church in Aurora, led a nation wide diversity audit for every Converge district. The results are being used to help Converge churches better understand and support one another as we all pursue a unified effort to make the name of Christ known here and around the world.
The next Converge Newsline will have an extensive review of the REACH Conference. It will also identify where you can view videos of main session talks and breakout training.
Your Financial Partnership Needed For
CRM pastors and mission leaders will sometimes call and ask about a current mission need that their church can partner with through prayer and financial support. A project that will see a forgotten group of people come to Christ and grow in their faith.
Engage Mindanao is one of those special projects.
Currently we are raising $8,000 dollars to cover the costs of initial training and translating
/printing materials for two hundred young Filipino leaders. These leaders will be spreading the Gospel on a predominantly Muslim island called Mindanao. Seven CRM leaders will join a training team. Together the team will encourage, challenges and give young leaders the tools they need to reach their people for Jesus and build strong disciples.
Beyond training, the funds will also be used to start as many new churches on the island as we can. Each new church costs $300. The goal is to start 60 churches. (Ultimately, the goal is to raise a total of $30,000 for the entire initiative.) Please click the link below to make an online contribution or send a check to: Converge Rocky Mountain, 620 Southpark Dr.,Littleton, CO, 80120. Write Engage Mindanao in the memo line. Thanks for your prayers and investment in this critical mission.
"The Timothy Initiative" training in August
The Timothy Initiative exists to advance Christ's Kingdom by multiplying disciples and disciple-
making churches around the world. It is a training systems that results in a harvest of new disciples and a birth of hundreds of new micro churches. Converge Rocky Mountain will be utilizing this training during our vision trip to Mindanao in September. We will be training 200 tribesman with the hopes that they will raise up a new church in their area of the island. (The goal is to plant 60 churches. It costs $300 to plant each church.)
We are also exploring how this training can help us raise up a new wave of disciples and churches in the Rocky Mountain West.
The training is made up of twelve courses covering everything from Old Testament to Apologetics and Spiritual Warfare. CRM pastors who have already viewed the material note that this is excellent basic training for everyone in their congregation.
A training of the Timothy Initative trainers will be held at Mission Hills Church, August 22-24. All CRM pastors are invited to attend.
It will be a hands on
opportunity to understand the material and determine if it might be good for your congregation or for a strategic leader you can send out to start a micro-church. For more information contact Paul Mitton at Paul@ConvergeRockyMountain.org
