WHAT WE LEARNED ABOUT REDLINING.
History of Redlining and Why We Are Segregated by Design
We watched the 17 minute film, Segregated By Design,
which is a re-cap of Richard Rothstein's book, The Color Of Law. Share the video with friends and family to open up a conversation. For more in-depth information, read the book!
Undesign the Redline - An interactive exhibit that explores the history of redlining and how to undesign these systems.
Save the date - Sunday, August 4th - Redlining Part Two
Continue the conversation about property value and the "flex zone" in our community. INVITATION COMING SOON!
Support our next program year cycle. We are booking speakers & facilitators now! We can not do this work without your support! Visit our Go Fund Me campaign.
On July 9th, Jountel will return to discuss the history of school segregation and the lingering impact in our community. We will look at learning and socializing in our schools from the perspective of students from different races and backgrounds. Explore the discomfort of dealing with conversations of race & racism in the schools.
We are seeking donations to support this event. Make a suggested donation between $10-$25 to cover our facilitator fees when you RSVP.
