A note to member-owners about the Coronavirus 
As your trusted energy partner, Roanoke Electric Co-op wants to assure you that we are here for you, and business operations will remain ongoing during the Coronavirus pandemic. 

We are announcing, however, that there will be some changes undertaken to ensure everyone's safety and well-being. Effective immediately, the offices of the co-op and The Roanoke Center are closed indefinitely to outside visitors. Also note, for those experiencing financial hardships at this time, the co-op is offering assistance to lessen the burden. For details, read more.

Where is my co-op refund check? 
For inquiring minds, Roanoke Electric Co-op wants you to know we may have a  check with your name on it just waiting for you to claim it and cash it. If you have not received your capital credit refund yet, your name is likely on our list  of designated recipients.

Co-op's CEO takes national spotlight
In his recent address as board president of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association, Roanoke Electric's CEO Curtis Wynn urged the nation's electric co-op leaders to act "with a sense of urgency" in offering innovative solutions accessible everyone. "It matters to our cooperative and the communities we serve. And, most importantly, it matters to our member-owners." Read more.

CENSUS 2020: What you need to know and do
Invitations to participate in the 2020 US Census should be arriving soon, and Roanoke Electric Co-op wants everyone to make sure they're counted. Co-op  CEO Curtis Wynn explains why: "The more people counted, the more money our communities receive." Read more.

Roanoke Electric Co-op is hosting a kickoff lunch meeting for member-owners interested in serving on its new Young Adult Advisory Board. There are only a few slots remaining on the 10-member panel. If you would like to engage in a more meaningful way with your co-op, don't miss out on this exciting opportunity. Check it out.

  • Basketball Camp : March 31, 2020 is the deadline to submit applications for summer basketball camp scholarships. Read more.
  • Bright Ideas: Local teachers can begin submitting applications on April 1 to fund innovative classroom projects. Read more. 
  • Earth Day: Community members are invited to join Roanoke Electric on April 24, as it celebrates the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. Read more.
  • Golf Tournament:
    Roanoke Electric's Annual Golf Classic, which was scheduled to take place April 17, 2020, has been cancelled this year, because of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
