June is a busy month! The Friends of the Conway Public Library are participating in NH Gives - a 24-hour online fundraising event for NH non-profit organizations. See below for more information on how you can help! Any amount you can give is appreciated!

We are hosting a number of adult and family events - from the documentary on June 6th called, "My Garden of a Thousand Bees," two NH Humanities Programs, storytimes (of course!), and we kick off the Summer Reading Program on June 16th at 4pm!

Continuing through the summer is the Dungeons and Dragons Club for ages 10+ on Monday afternoons. Pokémon Club is ending on Friday, June 17th, but never fear, will return in September! The Adult Art Night is back on June 16th - be sure to reserve your spot!

We are excited for the start of summer and hope you will visit the Library often!

Please consider supporting the Friends of the Conway Public Library during NH Gives, an online giving event, happening June 7-8 5pm-5pm. The Friends support programming at the Library and we greatly appreciate your help to grow our programs!

Juneteenth Storytime

Monday, June 20th, 3:30-4pm

Ham Community Room

Enjoy a couple of stories and take some time to honor Black Independence Day. This day has been celebrated since June 19, 1865, when enslaved people in the westernmost Confederate state of Texas were informed of their freedom by Union troops… even-though the Emancipation Proclamation received official presidential signature two and a half years earlier, on January 1, 1863! Tessa will read Juneteenth for Mazie by Floyd Cooper and All Different Now: Juneteenth, the First Day of Freedom by Angela Johnson. Refreshments to follow. All are welcome, but ages 5 and up may be most appropriate for understanding the books read.

June 21st @ 4pm

All are invited to attend

June 15th at 3:45pm

We have a Garden Bucket you can check out! It includes gardening tools, soil, seeds, and pots. Use the materials and bring back the reusable tools and bucket. Check it out just like you would a book! Happy Gardening!
