CIRCAC offices remain closed
Due to the Covid-19 virus, we were unable to gather in Kenai for our annual meeting on April 3rd. However, we continue to conduct Council business remotely, via teleconference.

We will continue to evaluate the best options maintain the health and safety of our board members and staff, while keeping engaged with current and ongoing projects.

ADEC public scoping process update
The public comment period for ADEC's scoping process has closed.

More than 130 groups, municipalities, individuals and businesses submitted comments.

Overwhelmingly, there was a call for keeping current Contingency Plan and spill response regulations in place and for ADEC to provide consistency in its review process.

Arndt to represent Kodiak Island Borough
We're pleased to welcome Scott Arndt to the CIRCAC Board of Directors.

Scott will represent the Kodiak Island Borough (KIB).

His public service resume is extensive, including two terms on the KIB Assembly and numerous committee appointments over the years.

CIRCAC scholarship winners

This year's scholarship winners both come from Homer.

Rio Shemet Pitcher (left) from Homer High School received the CIRCAC/Captain Barry Eldridge Memorial Scholarship for maritime studies.

Autumn Carlson (right) from Homer Flex High School received the CIRCAC/James Carter Memorial Scholarship for environmental sciences.
