"When I see my children, and when I see the people who value me, I know how lucky I am."
Kevin Costner

The times we share with youngsters stay with them a lifetime, as Lauren Wacaser's article in this issue points out. She has a knack for showing her own children how to enjoy healthy cooking and eating and offers some great tips for getting kids involved.

Another opportunity for low-cost fun is the Longview Symphony Orchestra's free Black History Month concert at the Longview Arboretum at 6:30 p.m. Sunday. The concert was rescheduled earlier this year and is featuring a number of performances among the arboretum's blooms.
