Cool Down with 5 Summer Design Tips
Summer is approaching, and this year you’re probably spending more time at home than usual. If you’re seeking a new look, we’re available for virtual window covering and design consultations.

This issue of BellaTrends highlights another outstanding project—one showcasing cool features to inspire change in your home or business.

The photos below show how window treatments can transform the look of any room, sort of like adding eye-catching jewelry to complete an outfit’s look. With many styles and fabrics to choose from, there are countless ways to dress up your home with personality, flair and functionality.

It was such an honor to be part of this design project. The home was completely remodeled and ready for the finishing touches. Signature Designs Kitchens & Baths selected the style and fabrics of the living room valance and kitchen/powder room Roman shades. Bella Designs was included to carry out the designer’s vision, as well as assist the client in selecting shades for the living room and bedrooms.
We selected motorized solar shades, allowing the tropical landscaping, lagoon and ocean view to be visible; with a push of a button, they easily go up and down. The bedroom shades were enhanced with fabric valances, adding a layer of elegance.

Incorporate these tips to stay cool this summer:

1. Solar shades
Choose this option to reject heat and UV.
2. Soft fabrics
Go for textures that feel cool.
3.    Motorization
Quickly be able to lower shades when the sun shines in.
4. Cool colors
Opt for hues that evoke feelings of the ocean and cooling off.
5. Cool styles
Select visually cool shades and valances.
Diane’s take: Window treatments are a necessary feature for your home and business—and in addition to looking beautiful, they can help keep you cool.
