Hi Stephanie,

When people meet me, they would never guess that I love the horror stories! Horror is actually my favorite genre...so I look forward to getting creative during the week of Halloween.

As an instructor and content creator, I see Halloween as a great opportunity to be creative with lesson plans! Whether you teach in a classroom, or teach at home, thinking out of the box can make your math activities fun and whimsical.

I have a few fun activities that you will enjoy to make math more fun and engaging for your students.

I thought I would share them with you this week! Plus, find ideas to put all that candy to good use!

I hope this gives you some fun ideas for now, or even for later!

Virtual Halloween Bingo–Monster Mash Multiplication

This hands-on game of Halloween Bingo is sure to be a hit! It is a great game for mastering multiplication with a creative twist!

This Bingo Game Packet contains 35 randomized, virtual bingo cards. It also includes a virtual Frankenstein character that calls the multiplication problems for you!

Fall Data and Graphing–Counting Activities

This Fall Data and Graphing Activity Pack is perfect for reinforcing those skills.

In this packet, students will use graphs and charts to answer questions about data sets. Each activity was curated with fall themes for colorful and creative interaction!

The activities in this resource include:

  • pictographs
  • bar graphs
  • pie graphs
  • tally charts
  • frequency charts

Halloween Math Riddles

You can always make math fun with riddles and jokes! This packet was designed for 4th grade, but can also be used as remediation or enrichment for 3rd grade classrooms as well.

Students are presented with a joke/riddle, and must solve the arithmetic problems in order to solve the riddle. For example:

Q: What building does Dracula visit in New York?

A: The Vampire State Building

Everybody loves coloring books! You’re going to LOVE this activity. This fun, authentic activity includes 5 fabulously spooky pictures: Headless Horseman, Dracula, Owl by Moonlight, Halloween Cupcake, Happy Spider, Silly Bat.
