Thank you, Jacksonville Beach, for a fun-filled Springing the Blues Festival!

The newest tequila in town, vida de louie and JAX Refrigeration recently partnered with the iconic community event, Springing the Blues. vida de louie Springing the Blues Festival, held at the Seawalk Pavilion on April 5-7, was a huge success!

“We are proud to have our company based in Jacksonville Beach. Partnerships in our backyard are important to JAX Refrigeration and vida de louie.”
-Mark Lowery - President

Representatives of JAX and vida de louie enjoyed spending time with the people in our community, while listening to excellent music.

We were thrilled to support and enjoy such a wonderful event, and would like to thank all who stopped by the JAX Refrigeration tent. It was great to have so many friends (old and new) play a little corn hole, color “Easter Fridgies” and take the time to get to know the JAX Family.
JAX RHVAC Turns 30!
Restaurant HVAC Specialty (RHVACS) officially opened its doors on April 6, 1989. In the early days, brothers Gary and Bobby Yoho assumed all rolls. As the business grew they began hiring employees, beginning with Evelyn Yoho for accounting support. That first year they added on 2 field mechanics and one start-up technician. After learning the ropes in the field, Dana Yoho joined the executive team as a construction manager. Since their humble beginning RHVACS has successfully completed over 2,200 projects, all supervised and installed by their own skilled tradesmen, not outside contractors. We sat down with Bobby and Dana Yoho to learn a little more about what has made them successful these last 30 years.
Welcome to the JAX Team!

Get to know the JAX Family!
Catherine Price
Service Coordinator for Mechanical Service
Hire Date: 9/29/2016

Catherine worked in the general contractor arena of the construction industry for years. When the company she was working for downsized, Catherine was connected with JAX through a staffing agency. Since she heard great things about JAX, she was excited for the opportunity... and still is!

In her free time, Catherine enjoys exercising and spending time with her husband and daughter. Though she happily calls Jacksonville home, she’d love to visit Australia one day. Her favorite holiday is Halloween, she roots for the Kansas City Chiefs and she would love to get behind the wheel of a convertible Mustang. If she ever had a career change, one as a personal trainer would be her choice.

Drink Water!
Water is one of the most important substances on Earth. All plants, animals and people need water to survive. Water serves very important purposes to our bodies and bodily functions- some of which many are unaware of.
Water comprises more than 60% of our total body weight. Lack of water is the #1 trigger for daytime fatigue. A 2% drop in one’s water level can spur problems with short term memory. Water naturally cleanses our body of toxins, regulates our body’s cooling system and even acts as a lubricant and cushion for our joints.

Why am I telling you all this?  Well you guessed it, it’s summer time and staying hydrated is essential for maintaining good health and safety – whether on a construction job-site, at school or even in your home.
It is recommended to drink at least 50-64 oz. of water per day.  One should not wait until feeling thirsty to drink water. By that time, a person is already well on their way to dehydration.  I know most of us like to drink coffee and/or energy drinks, but these types of beverages cause us to lose water and are known as diuretics. One simple way to determine if you are sufficiently hydrated is by the checking the color of your urine. The clearer your urine, the more hydrated your body is.
Dehydration affects the body in a multitude of ways. Heat cramps, heat exhaustion, and heat stroke are the three things that can lead to serious medical conditions while at work, if one fails to stay hydrated.
So drink up and stay hydrated for a safe and happy summer.
